POP Meeting Tuesday at 6 pm

Monday, September 23, 2019 - 07:30

Don't forget - POP meeting Tuesday September 24 at Route 30 Bottles and Brew (317 E 2nd) starting at 6 pm. Hope to see you all there. We have some special things going on this month. Don't be late, as the first 4 people to show up will win a "Just Say Nyet to Moscow Mitch" button. AND, in honor of the Climate Strike Week of Action, we have a special musical guest, local singer-songwriter John Schwartz, who will be performing his new original song "At the Climate Change Deniers' Debate." You won't want to miss this. Click "Read more" to see this entire message.

Other things on our agenda include actions happening locally, as well as at the state and federal level that we can get involved with, and we have some post cards to write to voters in Kentucky, so bring your favorite pen. And, as always, if you want to socialize and talk about your favorite current political reading, come at 5 for the informal book group.

Don't forget other things happening this Climate Strike Week....

Tonight (Monday Sept 23) at 5:30 some of us will be presenting a Climate Change draft resolution to the City Council, asking them to adopt it and include Climate Change in their long range planning. Join us if you can for moral support!

Wednesday evening, Bargeway Pub is hosting Gorge on Tap. Doors open at 5:30 for socializing and eating. Presentations from 7-8 will be about Climate Change in the Gorge and Gorge Towns to Trails.
